Pinellas Park police say a father and son were killed in an officer-involved shooting Saturday night.

Sunday they revealed the father, Waldemar Bogusiewicz, 59, shot his son, Adrian Bogusiewicz, 25, after an argument. Police then confronted Waldemar, who fired at officers. They returned fire, killing him.

It happened just before 9:00 p.m. Saturday at 6082 96th Terrace. No officers were injured in the shooting.

Sgt. Mike Lynch with Pinellas Park police department said when officers got to the scene Waldemar's wife was outside and told them she lived there, and that her husband and son were fighting inside.

Lynch said Sunday the argument began over who was going to buy more beer. They say Waldemar appeared drunk.

Neighbors say officers have responded to the home frequently and the family argued publicly over the years.

"There was always a lot of arguing. There's been quite a few police calls out to their residence. There's been altercations with the father and different neighbors in the neighborhood," said Rick Kindred.

As part of standard protocol, the officers were put on administrative leave pending the completion of the investigation.
