Sarasota school bus crash under investigation: SCSO
SARASOTA, Fla. - Two drivers were injured Friday morning in a multi-vehicle crash involving a Sarasota school bus.
What we know:
According to the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office, a Ford Escape collided with a Honda Civic around 7 a.m. at the intersection of Beneva Rd. and Sarasota Square Blvd.
Post-collision, deputies say the Civic slid into the side of a Sarasota County school bus.

Two of the drivers suffered minor injuries, but none of the 15 students on board the bus were injured, according to SCSO.

The SCSO Traffic Unit is investigating the crash.
Portions of the roadway were closed during the investigation. The intersection has now been reopened.
What we don't know:
It is unclear what led up to the initial collision between the Ford Escape and the Honda Civic.
