Security cameras show suspect stealing security cameras from Best Buy
PORT RICHEY (FOX 13) - A suspect was seen on store security cameras stealing security cameras in Pasco County, deputies said.
Investigators said they are searching for the unidentified man after he was seen in surveillance video stealing the items from a Best Buy store in Gulf View Square Mall in Port Richey. They said the incident occurred two weeks ago on November 12 around 7:45 p.m.
The suspect was seen entering the store, looked at some merchandise, then picked up two Arlo security camera systems. Each is worth hundreds of dollars. After walking around the store for a little bit, he was seen running out the front door.
Deputies said an employee tried to stop the suspected thief, but he was seen fleeing into the parking lot. The suspect is described as a white male between the ages of 23 and 30. He was wearing sunglasses, a camouflage-print hat, a dark long-sleeve shirt with the logo “Salt Life” on it, gray shorts and black shoes.
