Senior women enjoy ziplining adventure together
DADE CITY (FOX 13) - Staying fit can be a big challenge, especially for seniors.
In the community of Lake Jovita, senior women discovered that a high-wire adventure is good for the mind, body and soul.
Sue Queen and her more than 20 friends are on a quest for adventure.
"It's very challenging. It's more than ziplining, it's kind of like an obstacle course," Queen said.
They are ziplining at TreeHoppers Aerial Adventure, a 68-acre park of aerial adventure.
"It's stimulating. I love it," Bette Murphy said. "It's fun."
Jane Dunwoodie is 70 years old and she has ziplined twice.
"I like to have fun, and it is something that I like to do with my friend," Dunwoodie said. "It's exciting."
Deb Cartwright, 65, had her first attempt at the challenging adventure.
"I'm trying to be really brave about it because I watched my 10-year-old granddaughter do it," Cartwright said.
The ziplining adventure is a fun time for the young at heart.
