Sheriff: Port Richey man shoots, kills neighbor on his property after threat
PORT RICHEY, Fla. (FOX 13) - Deputies are investigating after they said a man shot and killed his neighbor during an argument in Port Richey.
According to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, 34-year-old Joshua Ellis was arguing with a woman at his house when his neighbor, 39-year-old Brien Colby, came out of his home to see what was going on.
That's when deputies said Ellis walked onto Colby's property and said he was going to kill him.
Colby was on the phone with 911 at the time, and fired one shot into Ellis' chest with his gun.
The sheriff's office said Colby then applied pressure to the wound to stop the bleeding, but Ellis later died at Bayonet Point Hospital.
Investigators said no arrests have been made.
