"I really felt like the signal box was kind of like a rite of passage for local artists such as myself," said artist Clancy Riehm. "So I was really excited to get this box, get it going. It is so awesome."
Riehm's piece features two charming cormorants, creating a whimsical and nature-inspired scene that has people stopping to admire.
"It really means a lot to me that I can use my art to enrich the community, add value to the community, and it really gives me the confidence to keep making art for people to enjoy," Riehm explained.

Creative Pinellas is an organization dedicated to supporting artists and the arts, is giving local creators a chance to showcase their talents in a very public way.
"We're directly supporting artists. Artists are paid for this," said Margaret Murray, CEO of Creative Pinellas. "Their work is showcased to a wide audience. We also work with local businesses, so it helps promote the local businesses in the area."
These eye-catching designs are popping up all over the country, making art part of our daily lives.
