Two K-9s with the Florida Highway Patrol passed away unexpectedly this week, according to a post on the agency’s Facebook page.

The post stated that K-9 Remy and K-9 Joker suffered irreversible medical issues.

K-9 Remy served Troop A, which is in the Panhandle, while K-9 Joker served Troop B, which covers the Lake City and Gainesville area.

The Florida Highway Patrol is asking for people to keep the K-9’s and their handlers in their thoughts and prayers.
