UberEATS launches food delivery service in Tampa

TAMPA, Fla. - The ride-sharing app "Uber" is adding "food delivery" to its services.

Uber launched the new UberEats app at Datz Restaurant in Tampa Wednesday.

Customers can now place an order through the app if the restaurant is open and serving food during that time through the app and an Uber driver will deliver it.

The service is available throughout Tampa, but there are plans to expand throughout the Tampa Bay region. UberEats delivers from 6 a.m. to 3 a.m. seven days a week, Uber says.
