Walgreens employee refused to give cash to would-be robber, deputies say
TAMPA (FOX 13) - An attempted robber couldn’t convince a Walgreens employee to hand him the store’s money, and left empty-handed, deputies said.
Hillsborough County deputies said they are searching for the unknown white male, who entered the store, located at 13130 North Dale Mabry in Tampa on March 22.
In surveillance video, the suspect headed to the cash register first, placed a note in front of an employee, and demanded money, deputies said.
The suspect told the employee he had a firearm, and gestured towards his shorts pockets, but never showed a gun, according to the sheriff’s office. The employee refused to hand him any cash, and attempted to notify a manager. That’s when the suspect fled from the store.
