Wanted suspect used assault rifle to shoot victim, police say

HAINES CITY (FOX 13) - Haines City police are searching for a shooting suspect, who used an assault rifle to injure his victim, they say.
The suspect, identified as 25-year-old Patrick Perez, met with the victim in the area of 29 Ash Street on Sunday evening to discuss a disagreement they recently had, according to Haines City police.
When the victim arrived, Perez opened the passenger side of the door, and fired an assault rifle downward striking the victim in the hip, police say. The victim was transported and is in stable condition.
Haines City police obtained an arrest warrant on felony charges, including aggravated battery.
