Woman found murdered in Sarasota home, suspect found in Louisiana
SARASOTA, Fla. - Sarasota police say a man a man found in Louisiana has been charged with the murder of a woman in Sarasota, according to the Sarasota Police Department.
What we know:
Djalma Johan Gordon, 41, was detained following a traffic stop in West Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana, according to SPD.

The arrest happened just after 2 a.m. Wednesday morning, according to police.
According to the Sarasota Police Department, officers responded to a home in the 2200 block of Ringling Blvd. around 8 p.m. Tuesday for a welfare check and found the woman dead.
Detectives said the woman appeared to have been "the victim of homicidal violence," and they identified a potential person of interest who was tracked down in Louisiana.

SPD said investigators don't believe the killing was random, adding there is no threat to the public.
