Wrong way driver arrested for DUI
TAMPA (FOX 13) - Florida Highway Patrol arrested a wrong way driver early Sunday morning in Hillsborough County.
Troopers say around 3:30 a.m. a Jeep Liberty SUV was traveling westbound in the eastbound lane of Hillsborough Avenue just west of Orient Road. The SUV sideswiped the side of a Nissan Murano and then hit the front of a Chevy Silverado truck.
A passenger in the truck was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
Authorities arrested 33-year-old Jonathan Garner of Tampa.
He was booked into the Hillsborough County Jail and charged with a DUI and driving the wrong way.
