Birds at Narrows Nature Center help veterans with PTSD
LARGO (FOX 13) - The Narrows Nature Center is a great place to explore the outdoors.
It’s located at McGough Nature Park in Largo, Florida. Boardwalks take you out among the mangroves and all the way to the intracoastal.
They also have birds of prey here who have been rescued and rehabbed, including a bald eagle named Sarge. She has a feather condition -- which was recently discovered -- that keeps her grounded. The park has a great program called Avian Veteran’s Alliance, using their feathered friends to help veterans with PTSD and brain injuries.
It's open every day, and is free to the public. For additional information, click over to the Narrows Nature Center website.
