Frozen dessert spot with an odd name has its own spin on shaved ice

SEMINOLE, Fla. - A west coast-based frozen dessert business has only one east coast location, and it happens to be in Seminole.

It may not sound like it, but Vampire Penguin ultimately serves shaved ice. It’s not the normal consistency, it’s not like a snow-cone, and it’s not even quite like the “snow” they serve at other shaved ice places. This is almost a consistency of ice cream, made from flavor-infused blocks of ice.

They have all sorts of flavor combinations: strawberry cheesecake, green tea, s'mores, and more. You can also add toppings to create a concoction that is truly one of a kind.
