Baby couldn't wait! Mom gives birth to boy in car

It was a special delivery that a Polk Fire Rescue crew will never forget, when an expecting mother gave birth in an unexpected place!

It happened Monday night around 6 p.m. Melissa Dowling and family were in their car when suddenly, they had to pull over at Cypress Gardens Boulevard near Legoland because Melissa was going into labor.

The family called 911 and was waiting for Polk Fire Rescue to arrive, but it turned out baby Cameron was on his own time!

He was born right there in the car, and a family member happened to catch the whole thing on camera.

Polk Fire Rescue took them to the hospital once they arrived, where both Melissa and baby were said to be doing just fine.

Cameron, initially due August 17, weighed in at a healthy 5 pounds and 10 ounces.
