Cold front to briefly bring brisk temperatures back to Bay Area

After a sunny and warm Tuesday, temperatures are about to tumble as a line of storms ushers in a cold front.

FOX 13 Meteorologist Jim Weber says the rain will likely begin to fall late morning into the early afternoon on Wednesday.

He said winds will pick up and there is a possibility of a thunderstorm or two as the cold front arrives.

As the storms clear out, the temperatures begin to fall.

By Thursday morning, most of the Bay Area will be in the 40s with the northern areas dipping into the upper 30s.

Weber says temperatures will only climb into the mid-60s on Thursday, but will quickly warm up.

After taking a tumble mid-week, temperatures will quickly rise into the 70s.

On Friday, the temperatures rebound back into the mid 70s.

By Saturday, Weber says the high temperature will be three degrees above average at 78 degrees.
