RUSKIN (FOX 13) - One student at Lennard High School was arrested for bringing a loaded pellet pistol onto campus, deputies announced Thursday.
A school resource deputy at the school learned about a possible weapon on the Ruskin campus, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. The deputy had the school suspend the bells so no student would be moving on campus.
The deputy and administrators identified the student and found the pellet pistol inside the 15-year-old’s backpack. They say it was “loaded and functional.”
The student was charged with disruption of a school function and was transported to the Juvenile Assessment Center.
