Man struck by lightning near Courtney Campbell Bridge

TAMPA, Fla. - A man in his 30s was struck by lightning while riding a raft near the Courtney Campbell Bridge Saturday afternoon, according to the Tampa Police Department.

TPD said the man fell into the water upon being hit and a friend pulled him back onto the raft.

A good Samaritan on a jet ski took the victim to shore.

He was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
