One person hit by gunfire in Clearwater Tuesday

CLEARWATER, Fla. - One person was taken to the hospital after being shot in the leg in Clearwater Tuesday.

The Clearwater Police Department says it received reports of gunfire near the 1700 block of North Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue around 2:30 p.m.

Responding officers found one person suffering a gunshot wound to the leg. The injury was reportedly non-life-threatening.

No arrests had been made. The investigation was ongoing.
