Suspect on the run after man shot exiting I-4 in Davenport: PCSO

DAVENPORT, Fla. - Deputies with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office are searching for a suspect who shot a man as he exited I-4 onto US 27 in Davenport early Sunday morning. 

Deputies say the victim, who was found near his white Dodge truck, appeared to have been traveling westbound on I-4 and just exited to go onto US 27. 

The man was taken to an area hospital for treatment of his injuries. 

Investigators believe he was shot by someone in another vehicle who fled the scene.
