Publix closing stores before Hurricane Irma arrives, some earlier than scheduled

TAMPA (FOX 13) - Publix announced store closures across Florida. Some will close earlier than originally planned.
The grocery store chain announced closures on Friday. After Hurricane Irma’s track shifted further west, they altered most of the closing times for Tampa Bay stores as of Saturday morning..
All stores in Manatee, Pinellas, Pasco, Hernando, and Highland counties will now close on Saturday, September 9, at noon and plan to reopen Tuesday, if weather permits. These counties – excluding Highlands – were originally scheduled to close at 8 p.m. on Saturday.
All stores in Polk, Lake and Hillsborough counties will now close at 3 p.m. on Saturday and plan to reopen Tuesday, if weather permits. These counties were originally scheduled to close at 8 p.m. on Saturday.
All stores in Collier, Lee, Charlotte, Sarasota and Desoto counties closed last night at 8 p.m. planning to reopen Monday - if weather permits.
