Football team lifts overturned vehicle to rescue woman

An Idaho football team that was returning home after winning their league championship became heroes off the field for a couple involved in a car crash in Oregon.

As the team drove back to Boise from San Jose, they came upon a vehicle that flipped over on a highway in Malheur County, Oregon Wednesday.

Members of the Boise Black Knights football team are seen on video helping a man from the flipped vehicle, and another player is seen helping to cut the seatbelt to help free a woman still stuck in the overturned car.

Then, in an effort to help rescue the woman, the players gathered together to lift the wrecked car while another player helped the woman out of it.

The video was captured by player Regan Magill.

"It just felt amazing that we could do what we did because I don't want to imagine what would happen if we were not there to help," Magill told the Idaho Statesman.

There's no word on the condition of the couple.
