Sharks chase inflatable boat in Western Australia

A group of sharks gave Perth resident Rohan Lewis a scare when they began to chase his inflatable boat while he was out on the water at Geordie Bay in Western Australia, on January 9.

In this video, shared to Facebook, at least two sharks can be seen chasing after the boat. “That’s definitely a shark isn’t it,” one concerned woman can be heard saying in the footage.

Lewis said in a Facebook post that the sharks had been circling the boat for some time. “Three good size tigers circled us for a bit, then a bigger white came up!” he wrote.“We were outta there, I hope the westpac chopper puts up their footage as they called them as 4 m and circling.” He said he was worried about the inflatable boat being punctured.

“We threw the boat into gear to get away from them and we put it into a tight turn just to see and they were definitely following us,” he told Nine News.
