Stabbing at Tampa hookah lounge leaves one critically injured
TAMPA, Fla. - Hillsborough County deputies are investigating a stabbing at a hookah lounge in the Carrollwood area that left the victim in critical condition, they said.
The incident occurred early Wednesday morning at “Last Hour Hookah Lounge,” located at 7544 North Dale Mabry Highway. Officials said they received a report around 4:22 a.m. from a caller at the corner of Dale Mabry Highway and Kirby Street. Soon after, deputies said they learned a friend drove the victim to AdventHealth Carrollwood.
According to preliminary information, the adult male victim was reaching down for his phone when he was stabbed in the upper body. Officials said those who were inside the hookah lounge were not cooperating with the investigation. There is no threat to the public, they added.
Deputies are asking for anyone with information to come forward and call the agency at 813-247-8200.
