Texas store owner fights off robber

HOUSTON, Texas - A Texas business owner found himelf in a dangerous situation when an armed robber pointed a gun at his head last week. The surveillance video shows the gunman entering the business and demanding cash from the register.

In a spur of the moment decision, the owner tries to wrestle the gun away from the armed robber.

Within moments, a gun goes off and the store owner is punched as he tries to reason with the gunman for his life. “We were wrestling for a while and I started talking to him about God and things that he needs to change and begging him for my life,” said the owner, who was not identified.  “I was telling him I have kids. I love my kids,” he said.

The video shows the owner grabbing the gun and chasing the gunman, who got away in a silver vehicle. "I just don't want to die like that,” said the store owner.
