Chuck Merlis
Chuck Merlis joined the FOX 13 team in October 2024 after graduating from the University of Tampa with a B.A. in journalism in the Spring of the same year.
Before joining FOX 13, Merlis served as the Editor-in-Chief of the University of Tampa’s school newspaper, where he was awarded the John Capouya Award for Excellence in Student Journalism.
Merlis has also worked for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and as a freelance journalist in the Tampa Bay region.
In his free time, Merlis enjoys watching sports, hanging out with friends and sitting by the pool.
