Lightning 'completely fries' vacationing family's truck in St. Pete

An Indiana woman on vacation with her family watched in horror as a bolt of lightning struck her husband's pickup truck right in front of her, with her children inside as well. "He had to actually come back to me and hug me and let me know that, ‘Yes, I’m OK, yes, the kids are OK.'"

Fourth of July festivities comes to St. Pete's waterfront

The St. Pete Pier is this year's home for the city's Fourth of July festivities. Visitors can expect a full beer garden, live music, vendors street performers and of course, the main attraction will be a patriotic fireworks display.

Arrival of COVID vaccines for kids uncertain at Florida retailers

Children age six months to five years old are now approved to receive COVID-19 vaccines, but FOX 13 News checked with local Walgreens, CVS, and Publix stores Monday. None of the Tampa Bay area retailers had the vaccines available. We also checked with Tampa General and Johns Hopkins All Children’s hospitals. No children’s vaccines had been received.
