Pasco County: Ian updates and emergency information

Follow ongoing updates from Pasco County in response to Ian.

PASCO COUNTY EVACUATIONS:

All evacuation orders have been lifted by county officials.

PASCO COUNTY CLOSINGS:

Government offices will reopen Friday, Sept. 30.

Animal Services will reopen at noon on Friday, Sept. 30.

Senior Centers will reopen Monday, Oct. 3.

Trash collection resumes Friday, Sept. 30.

PASCO COUNTY SHELTERS:

All Pasco shelters are closed; the Mike Fasano Regional Hurricane Shelter remains open as of Thursday morning.

PASCO COUNTY SANDBAGS:

 Two sandbag disposal sites are open to properly dispose of used sandbags:

  • Magnolia Valley Golf Course: 7223 Massachusetts Avenue, New Port Richey
  • Wesley Chapel District Park, 7727 Boyette Road, Wesley Chapel

PASCO COUNTY SCHOOLS:

Pasco County Schools and offices will be open on Monday. Schools and offices will be closed Tuesday, Sept. 26 through Friday, Sept. 30. All after-school programs, all athletic events and practices, and all extracurricular events have been canceled.

The Diocese of St. Petersburg ordered all Catholic Schools and Early Learning Centers to close from Tuesday, September 27 through Thursday, September 29. This includes Catholic schools in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Hernando and Citrus counties.

Pasco-Hernando State College is closing its campuses and its operations beginning Tuesday, Sept. 27 through Friday, Sept. 30.

St. Leo University has canceled classes from Wednesday, September 28, through Friday, September 30. 

PASCO COUNTY TRANSPORTATION: 

GoPasco County Public Transportation will offer free, hourly service on Routs 19, 21 and 23 from noon to 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29.
