Lithia driver dies after crashing into 11-foot alligator on roadway, deputies say

A driver was traveling on a dark Lithia roadway overnight when they struck an 11-foot gator in the roadway, flipping their vehicle due to the impact. The driver died and so did the alligator, according to Hillsborough deputies.
